Less worry and more living: try three of my favorite things

Life is giving us scary things to worry about. After you do everything you can to prevent and prepare, give your brain and immune system a boost. These are a few of my favorite things...

1. NATURE

Go outside. If possible, enjoy a walk in nature. If not, enjoy images from the national parks and NASA. Follow them on social media and they will brighten your day. I'm also sharing a daily dose of nature-inspired art on my social media.

2. LEARNING

Learn something. Visit libraries and museums online. I also love Skillshare. It has lots of real-world, short, useful online classes to learn all kinds of things. Especially if you want to make art in any form, which also reduces stress. I like to combine the first two and make art about nature. You can take unlimited classes when you subscribe. 3. MEDITATION

Try meditation. There's a reason you hear so much about it. Even if you only practice it for five minutes, meditation will help you spend less time dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, and you will learn to acknowledge your emotions without being ruled by them. I highly suggest this book, podcast and app. You will laugh out loud while you learn: Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics https://www.tenpercent.com/access

These three things make a big difference in my life, especially when worrisome things are out of my control. I hope they will for you too.
